China will resume Australian timber trade imports from today

China's Ambassador to Australia has confirmed his country will resume the importing of Australian timber from today. The background to this is that since 2020 Australia's AUD1.6 bn annual timber trade with China has been suspended.Ambassador Xiao Qian has told reporters in Canberra that the import ban has now been lifted.
