PayPal launches stablecoin

PayPal USD has launched a stablecoin PYUSD. The coin is is issued by Paxos Trust Co and fully backed by US dollar deposits, short-term Treasuries and similar cash equivalents, the San Jose, California-based payments company said on Monday.
