RNSDF / BMW, Renault and Peugeot plug-in hybrids pollute more than claimed – report

Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles pollute significantly more than companies claim, according to new research, with BMW, Peugeot and Renault models emitting up to three times more than advertised. Research by Graz University of Technology found the BMW 3 Series emitted three times the levels of CO2 than the manufacturer claimed, while the Renault Megane and Peugeot 308 polluted 70% and 20% more respectively.
